Don't fix it!

You know when you find something that works, you just go with it. Why change it? That's exactly how I feel about the January sketch over on Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog. I made my Belgium layout using this sketch 
 
 I haven't suddenly developed a passion for double page layouts, its just that I've found some great sketches that immediately 'speak' to me. Regular readers will know that my brother likes pages with lots of photos on them, I struggle to make multi photo pages. After I'd used this sketch I looked through my brothers album and he pointed out where a couple of his favourite photos were 'lost' because I'd made a picture collage with them and his favourites were a bit small. So on with the challenge, I remade this page
nothing wrong with it other than the pictures were a bit small, into these pages, the only thing missing is his journalling.
 I must have made him happy because suddenly he has brought me more pages to redo. It looks like its double page spreads is the way to go for him.

It's interesting to see these 2 side by side - with all the same prodcuts. I like this Januay sketch too - will try it out soon

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. I followed this with a couple of coats of cream paint and sanded the edges. This was followed with a sheet of 12x12 cut down to the same size as each panel and glued

Christmas Project

UKScrappers are hosting a project a day for Christmas.  Rememeber you have to do the following to be in with a chance of winning a prize: Visit the UKS Home Page every morning to see that days project click the link to get the tutorial.
