Stamp with Us Challenge

The Stamp with Us team has a thank you theme challenge going on at the moment. I'm still high from winning the Top Spot last week, so I thought go on give it a go. Here is my entry. The paper on the first photo looks a bit odd, I used the gorgeous spotty side of this paper but the other side has some large green and blue flowers on it. I think the flash has highlighted the other side of the paper and you can see the shadow of the flowers on the blue. You can't see it in real life. So here is my entry, nice and simple.

Allsorts Challenge

Wow I've made top spot over on the Stamp with Us Challenge blog, with this card. I am so happy. I've been looking at some of the statistics from my blog counter. I love statistics, I started my blog over a year ago but added the counter exactly a year ago. I have it set up to count unique hits only, so only the first visit that anybody makes is recorded. The most number of hits in a week was last week with a total of 302 hits, the most in one day was yesterday with a total of 80. The second highest week was 267 and the highest day was as a result of me being chosen as one of the Stampin Up fab five for this card. The 5000 th new visitor to my blog was on 24 th January 2010. This might seem like small numbers compared to some of the fabulous blogs out there, but for me its nice to know that somebody out there takes interest. The Allsorts Challenge Blog this week is a sketch . I have to say the sketch challenges are my favou...

Stamp With Us Challenge

The current challenge on the Stamp with Us website is a sketch challenge, so I broke out this cutie patootie stamp set that started my now huge collection of stampin up products. I love this little truck and its accessories, this stamp set covers a multitude of occasions . Perfect to do the sketch challenge and make another 'boy' card. This card won me the Stamp with Us top spot award for this challenge.

It's a recipe challenge to use: 2 x Patterned Papers 1 x Ribbon 1 x Piece of Hardware I don't have the modge podge hardware kit so thought it would exclude me. I then started to go through my supplies and realised I had the Pretties Kit, so thought maybe the pin and pearls may count instead, I hope so. Any way this is what I came up with. All products were Stampin Up: Ink Pads - Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel & More Mustard Double Sided Paper - Welcome Home (retired hostess gift from 2007/2008) Stamp Sets - A Sense of Time, Frames with a Flourish Hardware - Hat pin, Brad, pearls & Beads from Pretties Kit Ribbon - 5/8" Certainly Celery Grosgrain Other - Stampin Dimensionals

Stamp with us challenge

This is the second post of the day. I absolutely adore this weather, I lived in the Middle East for 15 years and loved knowing it was going to be sunny. Most of my free time would find me at the pool swimming and enjoying the sun (with sun protection of course). It's probably the thing I've missed most since I came back. Not this weekend I got my sun lounger out for the first time in 3 years. I am sensible and only sit out with lots of protection on for short periods of time. In between I came in to have a go at this weeks Stamp with us challenge. It's a sketch this week, I actually had three attempts, the first two I felt were a little predictable and then my final idea came to me when I was admiring the first rose that has flowered this year. Products used were Stampin Up: Stamp sets - Happy Every thing, A Rose is a Rose, Roses in Winter Ink pads - Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Aways Artichoke Card stock - Whisper White, Apricot Appeal The base card was from...

I've done it again

I can't believe it, I made the fab five again over on the Stamp with Us blog. I feel very flattered that I've managed this twice now in only 6 ( I think) challenges. Got a few pages to catch up on but the weather is sooo gorgeous I'm going to tidy the garden first. I went to a Craftwork Cards workshop yesterday where we made cards with the new Kraft, Richie & Suzie papers, they really are gorgeous. I only made three of the possible four but I'm really happy with them. Here are my three, not my ideas they were Julie's . The owls are just too cute.

Just because bird boxes

I was doing a bit of blog hopping today during my lunch and as always checked out the fabulous Julie Hickey's blog, where I saw the lovely bird boxes that she made for Sonya and Sue. I'd seen these a little while ago on Nichole's blog and was waiting for an occasion to make one. I also have bought Basic Grey's gorgeous Sugar papers and was dying to use them. Today I decided why can't you make combine the two and make one just because. I came home and did just that. Here it is: I know it's a bird box but I didn't have a bird so I've made it a butterfly house instead. It was so quick and easy I used some of my Stampin Up papers to make another one I then realised it fulfills the criteria for this weeks colour challenge on Stamp with Us . I love them both so I'm hanging one in my kitchen and one in my craft room, of course. Paper - Stampin Up summer picnic Cardstock Stampin Up - real red Ribbon - Stampin Up whiper white grosgrain Butterfly was one of ...
