A Wedding Card With a Difference

I recently looked at all the cards posted on Lili of the Valleys blog hop and was particularly inspired by this beautiful card . I loved the idea of the frame on the card. So I had to have a go myself, I have three weddings in the next 4 months and this will come in really handy. I also used some of the clay embellishments that I have been making, see the little scrolls on the top corner.     The cute little stamp is also from Lili of the valley, tomorrow I'm visiting their store to view the new release of Christmas images. I have the feeling I'm going to be very skint. I'm also entering this card into their monthly challenge, its the first time I've entered, but the theme this month is Pretty in Pink and this fits the challenge perfectly.

Blogging is not just for weekends

I know blogging is not just for weekends, but that seems to be when I get round to actually creating a post. I seem to be in card making mode at the moment, I have a wedding coming up in a couple of weeks and I bought these stamps from LOTV recently. I had seen this card created by Bev Rochester and loved it so much I had to case it. I really enjoyed making it and it looks even better in real life.

Wedding Wishes

A friend of mine at work is getting married on Friday, I'm sorry that I won't see him before the day and I'm not well enough yet to go the the reception. I am so disappointed, I had hoped to be well enough. I made a card for him so that he knows I'll be thinking of him. I love the effect of gold and white, I think its very classy.

Another Bargain Stamp

A few posts ago I mentioned a bargain, simple stamp I had bought. This one was purchased at the same time, I also made the card but had forgotten to post it. I thought it would be great for weddings, anniversaries or valentines cards, doesn't that make it a triple bargain? 79p isn't that a quadruple bargain? It stamps beautifully and because the & is open it can be coordinated with the papers and card. Enjoy.

Two for the price of One

Two cards today, because they are both for challenges and on a theme. Craftwork Cards have a great challenge on, you have until the 22nd January to enter with a card featuring their card candy. Here is my entry, as I'm part of the Design Team I'm not eligible for the prize, but I am eligible for the fun! The prize is a Card Candy Store, I know this is fabulous because I've got one. These little doodies are so useful, I use them most often a the centre for flowers. go have a look at their blog to see some of the great entries so far. This next card also features card candy, but was made for the Allsorts Saturday challenge , this hasn't photographed that well. The embossed circles look much nicer IRL. It was sitting on my counter for a couple of days because something was missing, but then while I was making the above card it came to me. Silver card candy to look like rivets. Done (in true Gordon Ramsey style)!
