Hand Crafted Memories

It seems so wrong to be making Christmas cards with all this glorious sunshine to be enjoyed, but it will be here before we can blink. I love taking part in the Winter Wonderland challenges , a card a week isn't such a big task and means that when Christmas rolls around I usually have enough cards to go round without having a mad rush. This weeks challenge was an easel card, so with my lovely new Papermania papers and my favourite snowman stamp this is what I cam up with.   Looking at Mr Frosty on here has made me want an ice cream and the van is just coming down the road!  Thanks to a great tip off I am also entering this into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Finally all my cards were written and posted, or so I thought. I have remembered a few people that I missed out, so quick and simple is the message today, I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel for my Christmas preparations. Winter Wonderland and Allsorts Challenge blogs both have Oh Christmas Tree as the theme for their challenges this week. Perfect for me, last week I was at a workshop where we made a little tree with rolled up bits of paper. So it was perfect to use it again for these challenges. I had a nice little surprise last night a beautiful boquet was delivered from my colleagues. I am always taking in  cakes and goodies that I've baked for them. So these were sent to me as a thank you, how gorgeous are they.  

Hooray, I made the top three over on Winter Wonderland with last weeks entry. That's three times now, I'm on a roll, so I'd better keep going while the mojo is still around. This weeks challenge is Food Glorious Food. Well that seems to be the theme in my house this week with me icing my Christmas cake and getting the ingredients together to make my mince ready for mince pies.  I've also carried on with my sugarpaste class, learning how to make flowers from sugarpaste, obviously with Christmas coming up I wanted to make an OTT arrangement for my cake, the poinsettia and ivy are finished, now its just the Christmas roses.  To continue with the trend of food and to enter the challenge I've used on of my favourite Molly Bloom stamps to create this card and I've gone away from traditional Christmas colours.
