So that was 2010

I have finally finished my Document 2010 project, actually it was finished last week. I had to wait to photograph December until I had some better daylight, I don't think its much better as today we have bright winter sun. I'm not complaining its lovely to see but its a bit harsh to photograph in. Anyway enough rambling, here are my December pages, there are a couple of extras because I had so many pictures this month. Again I turned to Pencil lines for inspiration of the focus page layouts, the concert page was based on sketch 216 , and the wish page was inspired by sketch 199 .The completed album can be seen in the slide show on the right of this blog.

November is Finished

I have been taking part in the Document 2010 project, run by Shimelle Laine and UK Scrappers, I promised I would only use my existing stash. With the exception of the album itself I haven't bought a single thing. I struggled with the November entries as I didn't do very much socially, I was so busy with work that I felt I was either travelling or preparing for my next trip. The first page uses Pencil lines sketch 218 . I managed to pull three pages together but the last one just wasn't there.  I confess to cheating a little a copyright free photo of fireworks and a flick through my Scrapbook Trends magazine and it all came together, I lifted the page from one by Becky Kent. Just December to finish now.

Butterflies Everywhere

Hope everybody had a great New Year. I can't believe it's all over with. Today is pencilled in to take down all the Christmas decorations and finish off my Document 2010 project. That of course is going to lead on the me having to clear out the craft room again. To keep you going while I'm busy with all this, here is another card that didn't make it onto the Inspiring you Passion CD. This CD is a real mojo booster for those of you who have lost it amongst the Christmas wrapping paper. You may already have noticed I used butterflies a lot, I've no idea what the fascination is but usually when I want a 'little something', a butterfly just seems to fit. This one is one of my favourites for cards.I'll be back tomorrow with today's efforts.

The next instalment

October is done in my Document 2010 project. I love the colours in these pages, it's one of my favourite colour combinations green and brown. I know this is true because its the colours in my living room and kitchen. I've just had a week's holiday from work and once again ended up decorating. It was the turn of the kitchen this time, nothing fancy but a new coat of fresh paint. It looks and feels lovely and clean now. I even went through all the cupboards and reorganised everything. I must be bedding down for the winter. The last page is based on Pencil lines sketch 211 I was a bit worried that the paper pricking wouldn't photograph very well, but its turned out OK.

I'm still here!

I'm still working on my Document 2010 project, thank goodness for a sunny day so the photographs can be taken. This is a year long project between Shimelle Laine and UK Scrappers . I'm loving this because its allowing me to use my own stash and is free! It's not too late to join in, just get your photos together from this year. Here are my September pages.       Page 4 used the sketch from Pencil lines ( sketch 206 ), If I'm struggling for a layout idea, this website is a favourite go to, it has never failed to get me out of a ditch. There's a new sketch every sunday at 8PM GMT.

Document 2010

August pages finished already! I can't believe that this project has only 4 more months to go. I have really enjoyed doing it. For page 1 I used the sketch from Kirsty's Cybercrop last Wednesday and for page 4 I used Pencil lines sketch 202 . It makes it easy to complete when you use a sketch for inspiration. I'm also finding it easy because I'm using the month papers from Karen Foster, they are old ones I've had hanging around for ages. The only problem I have is sorting out the photos I'm going to use! Did you do Kirsty's Cybercrop last night?

Document 2010

The Top Secret parcel was delivered safely to Craftwork Cards yesterday morning, while I was there I had a sneaky peek of the new MME papers. OMG  they are stunning, I now have to decide which ones I am buying . Of course I want them all but I am going to be sensible. Honest! My year long project hosted by Shimelle Laine over on UK scrapper s continues. These are my July pages, I'm so enjoying this project. It is turning into a lovely record of life at this time, already looking back at the beginning of the year it makes me smile to see the snow. At the same time I'm dreading the end of the year in case it all comes back! Check out the slide show on the right of this page to see the whole year so far. (Just click on the cross to get rid of those annoying poker pets!)    Go here to check out a super giveaway from Tracie, this would be a boost to anybody's stash. So generous.

I'm Scrapbooking Again

I flit between scrapbooking and cardmaking like a butterfly. I've recently had a run of card making but during my week off I did a bit of scrapbooking again. I'm following Shimelle Laine 's Document 2010 project on UK Scrappers . Over the months this is developing into a fabulous record of this year, good and bad events. I know it will become a treasure in the future. These are the pages I've made to record June in my world.

Catching up with May

I spent yesterday on the garden and today I'm paying for it, the garden looks lovely but I am aching. I'm declaring today is going to be a crafting day. Finally I've caught up with my Document 2010 project. Here are the May pages, I didn't do very much this month until the last couple of weeks, when I seemed to do quite a bit. I didn't have enough photos so a bit of creativity was called for. The photo of the Icelandic volcano and the polling station sign are from t'internet. The lunch date page was inspired by the first scrap page here . This is a blog I love looking at, I just love Keisha's style . Don't forget to check out my slide show of this project at the bottom of this page.

April remembered

I have finished my April pages for the Document 2010 project, as time goes on I'm getting more excited about this album. Who knows I may soon be keeping up with everybody else! I have almost completed May as well, I just need to pick up some more photos. Page four of April, once again was scrap lifted from this post on Shimelle Laine's blog . I use this top tip so often now. The photos on the page are also from t'internet. I googled the building I work in as its a listed building and picked two of my favourite pictures. I also used this weeks sketch over on Pencil Lines for page 1. I was trying to make sure the pages were all different but at the same time trying to keep a similarity throught the album. I'm using the same 'tattered square' on one page each month, I'm alkso using a pae from my calendar and the papers all have the month printed on them. Hopefully this will all work. Scroll to the bottom of my blog to see all of the pages so far in this projec...

March is done

If the weather keeps up like this I think my posting is going to fade into nothing. I LOVE IT! I lived in the Middle East for 15 years and even though I've been back 10 years I still hate not having nice weather. I am planning to tidy up my mess of a garden today and then just sit in it tommorrow. Not to neglect my crafting totally I have finished my March pages for the UKScrappers Document 2010 project. Even though there are only 3 completed months, this album is looking really good. Remember all the snow in January its great to look back on it, now the pictures look so pretty but I remember hating not being able to get out of the house. Here are my March pages. Now to start April!

February in May

I signed up to the Document 2010 project hosted by Shimmelle Laine on UK Scrappers at the beginning of the year. The idea is you take photos throug out the month and then scrap the events at the end of the month, using your own stash. No outlay and using your own stash, this really apealed to me. Well its now May and I've only just posted my February pages! here they are, a record of my February. I am promising myself I'll finish and post March's pages by this weekend, and April the following weekend. That means I'll be back on track and ready to complete my May pages at the beginning of June. JUNE who is stealing all these months? I'm also a very happy girl, I've just found out that the Scrapping Angels Retreat I couldn't attend at the end of April has been rescheduled for the weekend of 12th June. I'm going to go as a day delegate so that is something to look forward to.
