Yay! A scrapbook page

I made this page on Sunday, I just didn't get around to photographing it until this morning. I had a new washing machine delivered a couple of weeks ago but in order to get it into the garage in the right spot my brother and nephew came to move the old one. Actually my brother moved it and my nephew just gave him expert directions. I think he's going to end up working for a council somewhere! He claimed a couple of empty washing powder tubs and then did a bit of a forage in my craft room. He sat for ages with his Dad and between them they came up with this. It was great to see them discussing the whole process and making something together, usually his head is at a 45 degree and with his mouth open and a controller in his hands.
I used the instructions over at Sarah's cards, it was a 10 minute layout suggestion that really appealed to my busy days. I love it and will be saving this idea to use again.

On another note 'Project Top Secret' is done and sitting ready to transport to Craftwork Cards on Saturday morning. Yes I'm driving everything there, I just don't trust that it will travel very well with the Royal Mail!
The Big Idea Festival has started now so I'm hoping to keep up with everything and will post all my makes here for you. This is free and uses existing stash (if you want it to) so I'm sure you'll still be able to sign up if you want.

Lovely scrapbook page and congratulations on finally completing the "top secret project". I did actually put my trust in Royal Mail and luckily, it's all arrived, safe and sound, with no damage! Can't wait to see the final results now...it's all very exciting! :)

Love Emma

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. I followed this with a couple of coats of cream paint and sanded the edges. This was followed with a sheet of 12x12 cut down to the same size as each panel and glued ...
