Big Idea Festival

I signed up to the Big Idea Festival that started yesterday. Class one was a door cone, its a schultüte which is a paper cone filled with school supplies and little gifts to celebrate the first day of first grade in Germany.I thought this would be more geared to Scrap booking, but its not looking like it. I think I'll dip in and out of this one depending on what the project is.I'm thinking this will look nice with a lovely little posy in it, just right for the hostess of the BBQ I'm going to tomorrow.
I'm hoping to get some of the challenges over on Shimelle's blog, she's issuing a few challenges through until Monday , go here for the details. She is doing both scrap booking and photography challenges and with prizes!

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. Christmas Project

UKScrappers are hosting a project a day for Christmas.  Rememeber you have to do the following to be in with a chance of winning a prize: Visit the UKS Home Page every morning to see that days project click the link to get the tutorial. Comment on each of the blogs ). Remember to leave your UKS username. If the project is not on a blog you are allowed a free pass on that one.
