Roses in Winter

Well I guess that's it all over with for another year. I had a lovely Christmas day at my friends for dinner, and since then haven't done anything perfect. Yesterday I didn't even get dressed, because I didn't have to and I didn't want to. I did make a few cards ready for birthdays this year. I love these little roses and they are so easy, I'm putting them on everything at the moment. Isn't it funny how you go mad with one thing and then move onto something else. This is my current 'mad for' thing.

Plans for today, purge this craft room. I have a box of Christmas crafting bits that I have bought over the years and this year I never even opened it. I guess I don't need any of the stuff in the box. This got me to thinking I must have loads that I don't need or like anymore so it's all going.

Love this card and love the little roses. Hmmm, purge. Sounds like a good idea but ... I might need this, I'm sure that will come in useful ... I just need to but xyz so that I can use this ... lol. Don't quite think it will happen for me.

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. I followed this with a couple of coats of cream paint and sanded the edges. This was followed with a sheet of 12x12 cut down to the same size as each panel and glued

Christmas Project

UKScrappers are hosting a project a day for Christmas.  Rememeber you have to do the following to be in with a chance of winning a prize: Visit the UKS Home Page every morning to see that days project click the link to get the tutorial.
