Craft Haven Crop

Last Thursday I went to my monthly crop at Craft Haven in Sheffield. This months theme was winter, so I sorted through my travel photos and found the gorgeous view from Andorra. We'd gone on a skiing trip, which I hated. It was the first (and last) time I had a go at skiing, and I have to say its not for me. The scenery was beautiful but if you see on the photo there wasn't enough snow. All the seasoned skiers were disappointed and tried to convince me the reason I wasn't enjoying it was that the conditions weren't suitable. My partner also managed to fall on the second day(he was a seasoned skier) and damaged his hand so skiing was off. The country itself was just beautiful so we went for lots of walks, and I made a mental note that holidays were too precious and expensive to spend miserable and cold!

I've also noticed I've had exactly 4,000 visits to my blog, I'm well chuffed. Hello visitors!

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. Christmas Project
