Here I go with my first tutorial, I kept forgetting to take pictures and would get carried away with the next stage, but here goes.I've used the flowers from Craftwork Cards because they are a decent weight card, but the card can be manipulated really well.The large ones are 4 1/4" wide and the smaller ones are 3 3/4" wide. I used the 6 petal shapes but this can be done with five petals as well, they will just be smaller. 
Supplies needed: Candle, flower shapes, glue, scissors, rubber stamp, ink pad, glimmer mists, card stock circle ( mine was 4" diameter). You need three flower shapes per rose.
1. Stamp the flower shapes with the script stamp, using the ink pad. Stamp one side only.
2. Spritz the flowers with the glimmer mists, I used Tattered Angels Candy Apple Red, Tiger Lilly and Yellow Daisy. Spritz both sides. They will curl up a bit, just leave them to dry out, you can use a heat gun to speed this up. Don't worry about the coverage being even, I think it looks better when thay are patchy. After you've assembled the roses it adds a bit more interest. 
3. Use the ink pad to edge the flowers, I've experimented with Krylon pens that look lovely but I can't really get on with the pens so I use the ink pad instead.
4. Cut the three flowers as shown in the picture, you will need all of the petals.
5. Glue the cut edges of the flowers together to form cone shapes. The single petal should be just rolled up into a curl with no gluing. I glue them with the stamping inside the cones. 
6. Curl each of the petals outwards around a pen, you will see now that the text is on the outer surface of each petal.
7. Leave the largest group of petals (cone) intact then take the next size down and check the size inside the largest cone, if it sticks out too far above the larger petals, crop the point off to make it snug inside. (see photo for cropping).
8. Glue the next layer layer inside the largest group of petals, continue until all of the layers are assembled and finish with the single petal. That's it the rose is finished. These look gorgeous on the top of presents, when they are arranged in groups. To make the candle ring you need a few flowers, I used three large and four small flowers.
10. Use a strong glue and glue the flowers to the ring around the candle. That's it finished. I gave the whole think a final spritz with the yellow.You may want to glue the assembled candle ring to a heavy weight piece of card or stand it on a candle plate to make it more stable although I don't really experience any problems.
Remember these are not fireproof so take the candle out before it reaches the flowers. I can't take full recognition for this, Sue at Craftwork Cards showed me how to make the roses, I just took the idea and added to stamping, spritzing and came up with the candle ring.
