When its Right its Right

I often find when I make a card that I am critical of it and think there's something not right. But sometimes I make a card and its just right, there's nothing I want to change. This week was a very stressful week for a number of reasons, so I thought a little card making would help it out. This card cam together perfectly and I'm so pleased with it I don't want to give it away now. Perhaps stress around me is the missing element from my cards and projects.

Scrapbook Class Reveal

A few weeks ago I posted a sneaky peek of a scrapbook class that I would be teaching at the Craft Box . Well I taught the class last week, I have shown friends in small groups how to make pages and I am a trainer by profession, so the teaching bit wasn't a problem. What did make me nervous was whether the ladies would like the page. This was the prototype that I came up with  as it was a full day class I needed to create two pages and I also wanted to use different techniques. The first page had an interactive element and I worried it may have been a little bit too advanced. I shouldn't have worried, there were 8 ladies all of different levels but everybody made lovely pages. I'm always surprised at how different everybodys work looks even though they use the same papers. So here is the page again but in the papers the class used. I loved them and the colours were just perfect. I know there isn't a title I have just placed these photos to show the pages, this is ...

To the One I Love

No I'm not in love so regular readers need not start buying hats! That's the name of the challenge over at Winter Wonderland this week. The idea is to make a Christmas project for the one you love. So stretching my imagination I came up with this card. Its a stamp set I've had for ages, woodware I think but it fits the bill perfectly. These papers are my current favourite for Christmas this year. Home for Christmas from Papermania. Hopefully one of the boys at work will ask me to make a card for their wife/girlfriend.  This is the first weekend for ages that I have no commitments, so today the house is getting a quick flick with the duster, the washing is out on the line, I'm having a shower and putting clean pyjamas on. The rest is going to be dedicated to crafting. I'm a very happy girl.

Lilac and Lace

I missed postingmy card last week for the Winter Wonderland Challenge , so I knuckled down and made sure I finished it in time to post this week. The theme this week is Lilac and Lace. Try as much as I could I couldn't find real lace that looked right on this card. So a compromise was this lovely lacy die cut border. I'm really pleased with the final result.

Losing Time

The weeks at the moment seem to be flying by, where is the time going to? I remember when weekends seemed to be so long and boring. Now I find I am no sooner walking out of the doors at work on a Friday at 5PM than they are open and I am going back in on Monday at 9AM. Here it is two weeks since I posted and to be truthful I've not done much crafting either. This weekend sees me teaching my first scrapbook class at the Craft Box , I was really nervous but now I'm excited. I hope the ladies like the pages. In the mean time here are a couple of cards that I did manage to make, I bought the stamp set from Stampin Up a while ago and it has taken some time before I used it. I love the images and they are great for men's cards.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Its time for another challenge over on the Winter Wonderland blog, this week the card should feature a character walking in the snow. So my trusty collection of Molly Bloom stamps has this cute little Molly warmly wrapped in her jumper and scarf. The perfect image for this challenge.
