and now for something completely different - July

Regular readers will know that I like to follow Shimelle's projects over on UK Scrappers . Each year for the last 3 years she has hosted a year long project. This year a list of stash is posted on the 10th of the month, and then the steps to make a layout are posted on the 20th. All finished projects should then be posted on UK Scrappers by the 30th. Its always interesting to see how everybody interprets the instructions.  This month was a little out of the normal for me, but it was a great way to use up some scraps that are laying around. These are all scraps from a few workshops that I took at Scrapstars. I wasn't sure of the page at first but it has grown on me.

Blogging is not just for weekends

I know blogging is not just for weekends, but that seems to be when I get round to actually creating a post. I seem to be in card making mode at the moment, I have a wedding coming up in a couple of weeks and I bought these stamps from LOTV recently. I had seen this card created by Bev Rochester and loved it so much I had to case it. I really enjoyed making it and it looks even better in real life.

More Christmas

While I have some of the Christmas papers and stamps out I made this little card. These papers are soo old now, but they will be even older if I don't use them.  I', resolving not to buy ant Christmas papers this year as I have some in my stash that must be over 5 years old. This card was made for the Winter Wonderland Challenge this week. It was to incorporate pink, purple, green and/or aqua. I think I managed to get all four colours in there.

Christmas Already

Another card from my day of playing yesterday. I have decided to start my Christmas cards, yes I know its July but as I need about 60, I think I need to make a start. If I make at least one every time I sit down to craft it will make the job easier in December. This is another of the stamps I recently purchased from Lili of the Valley . I thought it was really cute when I saw it on display in the shop, so couldn't resist it. 1 down 59 to go.

Catching Up

I can't believe how long it is since I posted. I took this week off work as it was my birthday last Sunday, I usually have to week off the relax. Last week I was working in London for a couple of days,  when I returned home walked into my house I decided I didn't like the colour of my walls anymore. Just like that still in my business clothes and heels I moved all the furniture into the middle of the living room and decided it was time to paint. The next morning I admit to thinking I must have lost the plot. So my week off has been spent decorating my living room, but I love the results. I also had two new windows fitted and some cavity wall insulation done, so all in all it was a very productive week. Just when I thought I'd got things all back in order I realised my car was a little poorly, it turned out I needed a new clutch. So today while the car was being fixed I finally chilled out and made some cards. I had some stamps that still haven't had ink on them so to...

I wish

I just want a few days of sunshine, not just because I'm fed up with the dark rainy days but because its ruining my garden. I love my garden and a few weeks about it was blooming, today it just looks beaten. I have a weeks leave coming up and so I'm placing a special order for a week of sunshine. The other side of not being able to spend time on the garden is that I get to spend it in my craft room. Tomorrow I'm going to the Craft Box for another Molly Bloom workshop. It is well documented here on my blog how much I love these stamps so I am really looking forward to a great class. To get me in the mood. I've been tidying up my photos on my computer and come across a few cards that have not been posted, so in an attempt to encourage some summer here is one of them.

Too lazy

I have been very bad at blogging recently no excuses but it seems to be at the bottom of my to do list. I have a few more pages to post for the ATDML cybercrop, but I need to get round to printing the photos. I also have a few cards to share and another sugarcraft creation, so I have subject matter but no time to post about them. Today I have a card I made for one of my friends who is leaving work, this is the one for everybody to sign. I cannot claim the idea as mine, unfortunately I can't give the credit to the inspiration. I saw it in a magazine a few weeks ago and liked its simplicity. Now some weeks later when I needed a leaving card and  made this one up I cannot find the magazine. I  have no idea whether it was a recent one or an old one that I flicked through and then passed on. It was a great way to use up some scraps that were kicking around.
