The Sunday Creative Challenge

Regular visitors will know that I recently took part in the Creativity Boot Camp and now I am participating in the Sunday Creative Challenge. This week the prompt is Denim. I recently posted a few entries of the felt flowers I had been making and I photographed one on my denim jacket. I immediately thought of this photo.
The tutorial for making the flower is here. I started to sort through some photos and look what I found.
This is a picture of me about 20 years ago and look what I'm wearing denim, not just denim but DOUBLE DENIM. This is such a big no, no now. How I laughed out loud when I saw this. My goodness I wish I was that thin now,( even though I wasn't, I was just right). So here are my entries for denim and they are happy memories of denim.

End of Summer Blog Hop

Hello to all you UK Scrappers blog hoppers, hopefully you have arrived from Ifa's blog, I have been a fan of Ifa's clean scrapbooking style, how lovely is that layout.  Well the project I made is another take on what you can do with the vines I featured on the last blog hop. Often you see these things and think 'well they are lovely but what will I do with it'. Scrapbooking supplies are not just for scrapbooking.  I bought a bargain frame from a 'cheap' shop and wanted to add a bit of va va voom to it.I thought it was wood so was going to paint and crackle it,, turning it shabby and planned to give it a vintagey theme. Well that went out the window when I realised it was plastic.   Plan B then, I painted it with Gesso to give it a bit of 'tooth' so that whatever I did would grip. You are Here

I have had quite a productive few weeks on the scrapbooking front, there is nothing like a retreat followed closely by national Scrapbooking Day and a few challenges that get your creativity going. I mentioned previously that I was going to Scrapstars and as usual it didn't fail to deliver, it was great to meet up and catch up with everybody. Tracee Provis was one of the teachers, she is such fun and this was one of the layouts she taught.  I loved the fun colours and it was a great opportunity for me to scrap a photo from 37 years ago and my first girls holiday to Jersey. It was also my best friends birthday this week and a milestone birthday deserves a special card. She loves cakes, her garden and bling, luckily I got all of them onto her card.
