Still Crafting!

I know I've not posted for a while but I have been crafting. Last weekend I was supposed to be at the Inspired Retreat, but it got cancelled (very long story). My friend Julia and I were supposed to be going and had been so looking forward to it, we were gutted when it didn't happen. We decided to have our own retreat at my house, so we set about getting supplies together. We had such a great weekend, lots of catching up, wine drinking and chocolate.  We started off by making a mini book, there was a lovely idea posted over on the Studio Challenge Blog . It was perfect for a little book to record my nephews track day that he had recently for his birthday. Go here if you want the instructions and if you use them link back to Jim Jams blog.

Pencil Lines Sketch 76

Is it really only wednesday? This has been a hell of a week so far, I'm hoping it calms down today. I was hoping to catch up with some of the birthday celebrations on Pencil Lines , but it doesn't look like its going to happen. I have managed another page this one is using sketch 76 . This was the sketch and here is my interpretation of it  Love that DCWV paper pack.

Pencil Lines Sketch 204

The birthday celebrations on Pencil lines has inspired me to pick up my glue and scissors again. Each hour a favourite sketch was shown by the DT. I just need the photos to add and I can show them here. Sketch 204 looked like this and here is my page

Pencil Lines Sketch 208

Pencil lines , are having a birthday party celebration, they are four years old and to celebrate the Design Team are resurrecting some of their favourite sketches. I don't know how they are doing it, I think all of the sketches are fabulous. This week's sketch has to be one of my favorites, here is the sketch  and here is my page I love these papers, they are from Pink Paislee, its the Bayberry Cottage range. It's just gorgeous!

Congratulations Card

Earlier this week I posted that I had also made two Congratulations cards, hopefully now everybody has received theirs. One was for an engagement, the other was for Sue at Craftwork Cards . Sue has won the  Manufacturing Business Woman of the Year for Yorkshire and Humberside award.  How fabulous is that and very well deserved. Here is the card I sent. Pencil Lines have a fun filled day planned tomorrow, it's their 4th birthday, the festivities begin at 8AM. Every hour on the hour a new sketch from the archives is to be resurrected. Get your photos ready and let the fun begin.

A card for a change

I have a huge stock of cards that I've made, but can you believe it I never seem to have what I need, when I need it. I needed three cards this weekend one New Home card and two congratulations cards. Birthdays, New babies (boys and girls), acceptance and even sympathy. Not a New Home or Congratulations in sight. So I set to this weekend and made all three.  Here is the New Home card, the Congratulations I'll post later this week once they have been received by the appropriate parties.   Have you seen the fabulous day that Craftwork Cards have planned for December, I've been to these days before and there's always a good crowd and lots of fabulous ideas.Go here to see all the info on the Yuletide Fun Saturday .

I'm still here!

I'm still working on my Document 2010 project, thank goodness for a sunny day so the photographs can be taken. This is a year long project between Shimelle Laine and UK Scrappers . I'm loving this because its allowing me to use my own stash and is free! It's not too late to join in, just get your photos together from this year. Here are my September pages.       Page 4 used the sketch from Pencil lines ( sketch 206 ), If I'm struggling for a layout idea, this website is a favourite go to, it has never failed to get me out of a ditch. There's a new sketch every sunday at 8PM GMT.
